ARSON POSSIBLE AS FIRE DESTROYS HOUSE.(CAPITAL REGION)

A suspicious fire gutted a two-story wood-frame house on Wilkins Avenue Friday and forced a call for more firefighters to quickly search amid the dark smoke-filled interior to make sure no one was inside.

The first call for the fire at 3 Wilkins Ave., just off Livingston Avenue, from came in at about 7:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, the second floor was fully engulfed in flames but it could not immediately be determined from talking to neighbors whether anyone might still be inside.
