Fed: Reserve will decide today on rate cut

CANBERRA, Feb 6 AAP - The Reserve Bank will today decide on the size of an expected
interest rate cut as the government concedes the economy is slowing.

Analysts predict the Reserve will slice either a quarter or a half percentage point
from interest rates to ensure a soft landing for the economy.

It follows a string of pessimistic economic forecasts in recent weeks which all show
businesses expecting a turn for the worse.
